FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Aesthetic Treatment FAQs
Straightforward answers to common questions about consultations, wrinkle relaxers, dermal fillers, facial balancing, downtime, and treatment expectations.
These answers are general education only. Individual recommendations, risks, contraindications, and aftercare depend on the patient and the treatment performed.
Consultation & Booking
Do I need to know what treatment I want before booking?
No. It is often better to arrive with your concerns and goals rather than a predetermined product. Consultation is where anatomy, movement, medical history, expectations, and treatment options are evaluated.

Book online, email Erica at erica@erileymedspa.com, or call or text (484) 898-5459.
Wrinkle Relaxers
What is the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Letybo?
All three are botulinum toxin type A neuromodulators, but they are different formulations and their units are not interchangeable. Product choice and dosing are individualized clinical decisions.
Will wrinkle relaxers make me look frozen?
The amount of movement reduction depends on treatment area, anatomy, dose, and patient preference. Erica’s approach is individualized rather than based on a fixed dosing template.
How long do results last?
Duration varies by product, dose, treatment area, and individual response. Erica reviews realistic expectations for the specific plan rather than guaranteeing a fixed duration.
Dermal Fillers
What areas can filler be used to treat?
Depending on the patient and treatment goal, Juvéderm or Restylane filler may be considered for the lips, tear troughs, cheeks, smile lines (NLF), chin, jowls, or jawline. Suitability is determined during consultation.
How much filler will I need?
There is no standard amount. Volume depends on anatomy, goals, product selection, prior treatment, and whether a staged approach is more appropriate.
How long does filler last?
Longevity varies by product, treatment area, amount used, metabolism, movement, and individual response.
Is dermal filler free of risk?
No. Injectable treatments carry risks. Risks, benefits, limitations, alternatives, and warning signs should be reviewed as part of treatment planning and informed consent.
Facial Balancing
What exactly is facial balancing?
Facial balancing is a holistic approach. It considers the relationship among features before deciding whether treatment, and which treatment if any, is appropriate.
Does facial balancing always involve multiple syringes?
No. There is no predetermined amount of treatment. Some patients may benefit from one area, some from staged treatment, and some may be advised that injectables are not the best option.
Can facial balancing make my face perfectly symmetrical?
No. Natural faces are not perfectly symmetrical, and injectables cannot guarantee symmetry. The goal is individualized proportion and balance.
Results, Downtime & Aftercare
How much downtime should I expect?
Downtime depends on the treatment performed and the patient’s individual response. Swelling, bruising, tenderness, or redness may occur with some injectable treatments. Expectations for your specific treatment should be reviewed before the procedure.
When should I schedule treatment before an event?
There is no universal timeline because onset, swelling, bruising, and follow-up needs differ by treatment. Discuss important events with Erica before scheduling so timing can be considered appropriately.
Are before and after photos a guarantee of my result?
No. They show examples from other patients. Anatomy, treatment plans, healing, and individual response vary.
Which aftercare instructions should I follow?
Follow the instructions provided for your specific treatment. Individualized guidance from the treating clinician takes priority over general website information.
